Have you thought about what will happen when you die? Does the idea of dying scare you? Or, do you not worry about it and just live your life day-by-day?
The Bible speaks clearly of life after death. Some will be separated from God for all eternity, and others will experience eternity with God dwelling with them. Those are the only two choices. What if they are correct?
Jesus asks only that you believe in Him to be saved from eternal separation from God.
- No other conditions or requirements.
- There isn't even a special prayer to say, just believe.
To believe means to trust.
When Jesus says, “Believe in Me and you will have eternal life” He is asking His hearers to entrust themselves to Him; that He is the only way to the Father.
There is no other way to be saved from eternal separation from God except through Jesus (John 14:6).
Why not take Jesus at His word, trust Him for your eternal destiny and believe?
What must you believe to be saved? The Bible says, simply believe in the Savior, Jesus Christ the Son of God:
Because of His death on the cross, and subsequent resurrection (1 Corinthians 1:17-18; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8), Jesus Christ is the only One who can forgive your sins and offer you eternal life. Will you entrust your eternal destiny to Him and believe He has the power and authority to do both? If you do, you are assured salvation and life eternal.
Stated another way:
In order to be saved eternally—good works and/or living a life of obedience to God will not do it. Salvation comes only by entrusting oneself to the Savior, Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Who will you put your trust in for your eternal life? Why not take Jesus at His word and trust Him today?
Now that you believe it is time to start being a follower of Jesus and His disciple. Get involved in a discipleship group. Ask one of the pastors for more information.
